Reconstruction RWY 05R/23L

Dear Airport Users,

We would like to inform you that, starting on 8 August 2026, reconstruction of RWY 05R/23L and additional ground works within the operational areas of LKLT Airport will begin.

The works are expected to take approximately three months. The attached map shows the airport areas that will be closed during the reconstruction period (marked in grey).

During the construction works, RWY 05C/23C will be activated. However, only one runway will be in use at any given time, with RWY 05L/23R being the preferred runway whenever possible. When RWY 23R is in use, taxi to the runway will be via RWY 05C.

If soft ground conditions prevent the safe use of RWY 05L/23R, only RWY 05C/23C will remain in operation. In such cases, taxi to RWY 23C will be conducted in accordance with the current site conditions and the progress of the construction works, as instructed by LKLT RADIO (OPI).

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during the reconstruction period, as the airport's operational capacity may be temporarily reduced.

We also kindly request that all airport users comply with the instructions issued by LKLT RADIO (OPI) to ensure the safety and orderly flow of flight operations, as well as the safe progress of the construction works.
