New Zealand 2018 III.      In the newest flight video from shows Farewell Spit and other beautiful places from our New Zealand 2018 Expedition. 

 
Flying in New Zealand 2018, Part 3

The third video from New Zealand begins with a departure from Takaka aerodrome. It is actually only a second part of a touch and go landing on that runway. After that the journey took us to Farewell Spit, the longest sand spit in New Zealand.

From then you can enjoy the views of the low flight over the coastline up to Karamea aerodrome. From Karamea we continued back to Nelson but on the way we flew through a very exciting national park of Kahurangi. I hope you will enjoy the views.

For Europeans New Zealand is, of course, somewhat far away. Therefore we want to bring this beautiful country to you at least on the videos and photos taken during our flight expedition named „New Zealand 2018“. Jiri Prusa flew this expedition in the first part of February which means in the full New Zealand summer. Despite that the weather was far from ideal. Only about half of the time it was VFR flyable.

The weather however, was no good. The alternative was to fly north-east alongside the coast and over less mountainous area. The eastern part of the South Island was sunny as was the aerodrome of Omaka.

The fourth video from the New Zealand video series video will show the second part of this flight along the north-western coast of South Island. It will be publish on Friday, April 20, 2018.
