Flying Alaska 2017, Part 8 - Dease Lake, Prince George, Hinton Jasper, Kelowna
From Dease Lake airport I flew through the valley of Stikine river to Telegraph Creek airfield. Originally I planned to land here but in the end I did only a low pass. The runway did not seem to be in good condition so I did not want to risk any problem. From Telegraph Creek I reached Mount Edziza - a very impressive volcano. From there the flight took me over Rocky Mountains to Prince George airport.
The flight lasted some 4 hours so I refuelled, had a brief rest and continued to Jasper n.p. When I landed at Jasper-Hinton airport the sun was about to set down and the airport was completely empty. I was happy to find a young man who was busy repairing a flooded toilet. I waited for him to finish his working day and then hHe took me with him to a local hotel where he stayed too.

This made it easy for me in the morning when we both went back to the airport. Him to finnish his job and me to continue in my journey. The weather was fine but the forecast predicted rain and low clouds coming from the west. I therefore decided to skip landing at Calgary and rather continued to West towards Vancouver. I finished flying at Kelowna that day.
